As early as five to ten years before your final period (menopause), hormonal changes begin during what's known as perimenopause. A drop in estrogen levels often leads to increased fat storage around the abdomen, while at the same time muscle mass tends to decrease. This shift isn’t just about appearance – it can also raise the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes. Losing muscle mass makes it even harder to maintain or lose weight.

I am the mother of a son and a small poodle, and I am passionate about nutrition and health. After earning my law degree, I worked in a law firm and later in a Swiss bank. However, my true passion led me to train as a nutritional therapist. I am particularly fascinated by the impact of nutrition on hormones, women's health, and gut health. Through my own experiences, I understand how challenging it can be to maintain a healthy diet in everyday life.
