Endometriosis and Hormone Balance

NUTRITION AND HORMONES: THE RIGHT DIET FOR ENDOMETRIOSIS AND HORMONAL BALANCE

Female hormones influence numerous processes in the body—from mood and metabolism to fertility. A hormonal imbalance can manifest in a variety of symptoms, such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS), or Endometriosis. Nutrition plays a crucial role in supporting hormonal balance and relieving symptoms. Carefully chosen foods can help reduce inflammation and nourish the body effectively. But which foods are helpful—and which are best avoided?

NUTRITION FOR ENDOMETRIOSOS: EATING ANTI-INFLAMMATORY FOODS

Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory condition in which tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus. This can cause severe pain, digestive problems, and other symptoms. A targeted diet can help alleviate these symptoms and improve overall well-being. Particularly important is an anti-inflammatory diet focused on nutrient-dense, fresh, and unprocessed foods that help strengthen the body and counteract inflammation. At the same time, inflammatory foods - such as heavily processed products, added sugars, and trans fats - should be minimized. A balanced diet can help stabilize hormone levels and reduce endometriosis-related discomfort.

HORMONAL BALANCE THROUGH NUTRITION: PCOS and PMS

Hormonal imbalances can also present as PMS or PCOS. These conditions often come with symptoms like mood swings, irregular cycles, skin issues, or weight gain. Nutrition can play a vital role in supporting hormonal balance. Anti-inflammatory foods - such as those rich in omega-3 fatty acids, dietary fiber, and those that promote stable blood sugar levels - are key to reducing hormonal fluctuations. At the same time, inflammatory foods should be avoided to reduce unnecessary stress on the body. With a well-balanced diet, many symptoms can be eased, leading to a noticeable improvement in overall well-being.
